Doreen Muchena born in the rural areas of Marondera in Zimbabwe, spent most of her childhood with her parents in the rural areas and moved to the city when she was a teenager.

She moved to South Africa in 2006 due to economic hardships which had hit her country of birth. She is the first born of 7 children born to Aaron and Eve Muchena (late), 5 boys and 2 girls.

Doreen’s husband passed away after they only spent 10 years together. This was the most difficult among the many other challenges she faced.

In the book she shares her difficult life experiences since childhood, mostly because of poverty.

Her message is: In this life no one is exempted from life’s challenges but each has a distinct purpose on earth. So no matter what situation you find yourself in, God will never leave you nor forsake you.

Your worth is not found in what you achieved or not but in God’s purpose for you.

She believes that God has turned her life’s bitter experiences into a message.
